Meet the Founder of Be Transfigured Ministries

Rev. Fr. Athanasios Haros was born in Chicago, IL and was raised in Denver, CO. He has a B.A. in Music from the University of Colorado College of Music and a Master of Divinity from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. After graduating from Holy Cross, he was named Proistamenos at the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church in Florence, SC. While in Florence, he established "Be Transfigured Ministries," an internet ministry which publishes and produces original Bible Studies as well as a weekly sermon series. Fr. Athanasios is married to Presvytera Vassi, also a Holy Cross Graduate, who maintains an internet ministry of her own entitled: "In Service and Love." Fr. Athanasios was appointed Dean of St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral on November 1, 2016.
